For many people the
motor racing of the 1950s represents the true grit, glory and
heyday of the sport: Fangio, Hawthorn, Moss - Ferrari,
Maserati, Jaguar - Goodwood, Nürburgring, Monza - a time when
Grand Prix drivers doubled as mechanics, when straw bales
separated cheering spectators from the action and when cars
were built to last………

Today, Historic
motor racing is very much alive, with the original cars
competing at events all over the world. The cars are capable
of speeds in excess of 150 mph and, unlike modern cars, the
drivers can be seen and watched at work. The popularity of the
sport - in terms of competitors, spectators, television
coverage and media awareness - is greater than ever before and
is constantly increasing.

The main events where you can see these cars can be found in the Calendar
section and more details and reports on events can be found
